Farmer's Market - Worship Series

Farmer’s Market: A Summer Worship Series, where we’ll explore the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22–23—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Each week, we’ll unpack one fruit of the spirit through scripture, stories, and spiritual practices, considering how we can embody these virtues in our everyday lives. Like a farmer tending crops or a neighbor offering produce at the market, the Holy Spirit cultivates these qualities in us for the good of the world. From the sweetness of love to the strength of self-control, let us discover how the Spirit helps us grow into people who reflect God’s goodness in all seasons.

This Sunday, we open our Farmer’s Market summer worship series with the first fruit of the Spirit: love. Rooted in 1 John 4:7–21, we’ll reflect on a love that is not abstract or fleeting, but embodied—revealed fully in the life of Jesus Christ. “Let us love one another,” the scripture says, “because love is from God.” In this passage, we are reminded that love is not just a virtue to aspire to—it is the very essence of God, and a characteristic of those who live in God.
