Advent: What do you fear? Insisting on hope this Advent season.

What Do You Fear? Insisting on Hope This Advent Season

Join us on Sundays at 10:30 AM starting November 30 st as we begin our Advent worship series.

Fear is woven into the world we live in—into our headlines, our homes, our hearts. And it’s woven into the Christmas story too. From Zechariah’s trembling in the temple to Mary’s startled yes, from Joseph’s quiet courage to the shepherds’ fear under a sky full of angels, the story of Christ’s birth begins in fear… and ends in joy.

This Advent, St. Luke invites you into a season of courageous honesty and deep hope.

Together, we’ll name the fears we carry and look for God’s presence right in the middle of them. We’ll remember that even in a fearful world, God’s promises still hold and God’s love still draws near.

Each week, we’ll listen again to the angels’ words—“Do not be afraid”—and discover that God’s good news is always louder than fear. Through worship, scripture, song, and community, we’ll explore how hope, peace, joy, and love can take root in the most unexpected places.
And by the time we reach Epiphany, we’ll see what faith looks like when we keep walking toward the light—trusting that love is stronger, joy grows deeper, and fear never gets the last word.

Come join us this Advent as we insist on hope together. All are welcome.
